One of the locations we will be shooting our shots in is
Riverview Park. The reason why we chose this location is because it has some interesting places within it; which connote the themes and ideas we want present in our title sequence for our film:
The Missing. The image in the top left corner shows an old bridge. One of our main characters;
Daniel Brown will walk over this bridge to look for clues in the park to help him locate his
'missing' friend
Sean. This bridge is an unappealing location which will make our audience wonder: why would Sean be here? Did someone take him here? Or is he 'missing' in this location. This bridge will also connote the theme of fear; which is a crucial theme to be present when watching a
thriller. The second image in the top right corner is a picture of a river in
Riverview Park. Daniel Brown will then walk to this river to look for clues to help him find
Sean. This river connotes the idea of a mystery; this is also a crucial theme when watching a
thriller. This will make our audience ask questions such as: what has happened to
Sean? Or is he still alive?. Overall
Riverview Park will help us in ensuring the crucial themes and conventions of a
thriller are present throughout our title sequence.
