Analysis of music i have chosen

How Much A Dollar Cost is a song Kendrick Lamar's third studio album: To Pimp A Butterfly. The albums main lyrical content consist of black American culture and issues in the United states. Throughout this album Lamar tells stories about his personal experiences as an African American and he also gives his opinions on the current state of the world.
How Much A Dollar Cost is a song about an experience Lamar had while he was in Johannesburg, South Africa. He was approached by a homeless man who asked him for 10 Rands; which is the equivalent to one dollar. Lamar refused to give the man a dollar; thinking he would spend it on alcohol or drugs, however the homeless man continued to ask. the homeless man eventually asked one last time before revealing who he actually was: God. Lamar had failed this test from God, and as a result of this he used his musical platform to not only repent but to awaken his fans and citizens of the world. How Much A Dollar Cost is a trick/ rhetorical question apposed by Lamar to the listener of this song to open up their mind to a different way of thinking. The main messages of this song is that us as people of the western world are in a position to help those who are less fortunate, however our mentality is too greedy and selfish to reach out to people who need us in their time of need. The second message Lamar is trying tell society is hat money doesn't matter, we just need love for the world to function efficiently. The reason why I will be using the instrumental for this song in my title sequence for my movie: The Missing is because the instrumental has the connotations of: depression, regret and remorse. These are some of the themes I want to be present in my title sequence and this instrumental will help me in ensuring they are present throughout my title sequence.
